Had a wonderful time at the first annual Eastside Stitchers retreat on Camano Island, right on the water.  Had wonderful company also.  We all had a great time knitting and visiting in a somewhat quiet environment.  Did some beach combing also.  I finished a crochet project that I had in my waiting pile for a year and that felt great.

I am still working on the sweater for my hubby, have the front and back finished, joined the shoulders and will be working on the neck edging next.  I need to find a sweater pattern that I can adapt the sleeves to work for the vest turned to sweater then I can finish his sweater.

Hope to make it out to Maker's Mercantile next week to get help with a pattern that I bought there.  Just has me baffled to no end.  Of course it is the first sweater that I am making for myself that I am having trouble with.

Hope to see everyone on Wed

Duh, I was wondering how I could not have enough yarn from an XL women's sweater coat to make a men's medium sweater, I just found the yarn from the back of said sweater coat buried under a bunch of project bags.  I will be looking for sweater patterns that I can use to adapt the sleeves to fit the vest that I am knitting for my husband so that I can make him the sweater that he would really rather have.  I figure instead of doing the trim on the arm hole openings I can just make. sleeves with the same pattern and put them in instead.  I should be able to do that with not to much trouble since I had to do that with the Teddy Bear sweater that I made for Dylan.
