Have Dylan's arm measurements now so I can finish his sweater. I also have Genevieve's sweater almost finished, just have to join the underarm and sew on the buttons. If I can manage it I will post pictures of the two sweaters under my projects. I have also finished a cowl for my daughter, for Christmas and will be working on wrist warmers for my two grand-daughters. I have one wrist warmer for one of my nieces finished and I am working on the second one.

Well I was able to find the web site for the knitters graph paper and I printed out a few of them and then adjusted the size for my project I am working on, Dylan's Teddy Bear Sweater. I will probably rip out the front that I have finished and redo it with the new graph that I have printed. I will like it much better and Dylan will know if it does not look more like the picture. I will have time to finish it before Christmas because as people know I have the back finished and I have about 1/4-1/3 of the sleeves finished. I will be happier if I redo it. Hope to see everyone on Wed evening at Crossroads for Eastside Stitchers meet up.

I have been working on a pattern with the design of a teddy bear drawn by my grand-nephew when he was 5 yrs old. He is now 7 yrs old and I hope to have his sweater finished by Christmas. It is called Dylan's Teddy Bear with Valentines. I have 40 rows of the front finished so far, I am writing the pattern as I go. I have a tentative 88 rows total written so far for the front and back. Still need to figure out the sleeves but I will probably finish the front and back and then figure out the sleeves. I will be bringing it to Eastside stitchers on Wed evening. I only have one picture of it so far so I will post it in the next day or so along with the picture that the design is taken from.
I am very excited because this is the first pattern I have done.

Well the blueberry season has come to an end. Rain did not come soon enough to help the blueberries.
My youngest daughter and her husband have moved back to Washington, yea. I had the opportunity to ride from Chicago area to North Bend with my daughter in her big rig. I was actually quite an experience in a fun way.
I have not been doing much work on any project lately but hope to get back to them soon. I will be leaving for a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas on Sept 17th late flight and returning on Sept 22nd afternoon. The cruise itself is from the evening of the 19th to the morning of the 22nd. I am looking forward to this cruise.
My oldest daughter will be here on Sept 12th and we will be doing our own yarn crawl. I am looking forward to that also. I will be nice to have her home for a couple of weeks, she will be here for her 20 year High School reunion.

Well I just have to sew the side and sleeve seams on my grandson's (Robert) sweater and then hide the ends. I will then be able to move on to working on my grand-nephew's (Dylan) Teddy Bear sweater that I am crocheting for him. I will probably bring it to Panera on Sun for the Eastside Stitchers group. I will post picture's of my grandson's sweater when it is completed.

Hi all, just thought I better post a little something. I have missed a lot over the last week and hope to see everyone next Wed night for Eastside Stitchers at Crossroads.
I left knit group early Wed Jun 25, related to not feeling well. I ended up in the urgent care on Fri Jun 27th with a massive Kidney infection, my own doing because I am so good at procrastination. Went back to urgent care and then admitted to hospital on Sun Jun 29th was just released on Wed Jul 2nd. Feeling very worn out so will wait until next Wed night to rejoin the Eastside Stitchers. Have not even felt well enough to knit or crochet. Well going to close for now. See you Jul 9th.

Missed
I am irritated with myself, I totally spaced the Eastside Knitters Guild meeting on Mon. I was looking forward to VanesaPolo's steeking class. I remembered at about 8:35 last night that it was the Mon for the meeting. The only thing that I remembered about this 23rd is that it was Genevieve's first Birthday. I have not been sleeping well and my brain does not like it. Hoping to be able to sleep better after the 2nd of Jul. Well enough of that. I will be making it to the Eastside Stitchers this Wed at Crossroads. I have been working on my grandson's sweater again and hope to have it completed in about a week or so.
I also have a new venue for my earrings. It is a little place called Rewind Clothing Store on Front Street in Issaquah. It is a second hand mostly women's clothing store and the owner takes in consignments also. I will be posting on facebook when I sign the proper paperwork with the owner and I will also post on Ravelry. I am excited about this venture.
Until next time,

Posted projects
I finally posted more of my projects and some of the projects in waiting. Hope to get more of my incomplete projects done over the next few weeks. Blueberry season is coming up next month and I will hopefully feel up to picking berries this year so we have a few pounds on hand for sale, this will interfere with knitting and crocheting so I want to get as many of my projects finished by then. I will still be able to knit in the evenings and join the Eastside Stitchers for our Wed evenings and Fri mornings. Sundays will be a little harder when our Church moves to our new space as we will be meeting earlier than we do at present. Hope to see everyone this Sun. at Panera Bread in Redmond.
See my project page for the descriptions and patterns for most of them.

It's been a while since I posted a blog so I decided that I had better get one done. I have been working on some socks using the magic loop method that F1bercat showed me a couple of weeks ago. I have also taken pictures of some of my projects that I have finished except for blocking. I will post the pictures in the next couple of days.
I will work on my Grandson's sweater again soon. I only have the sleeves and neck to do and then sew together and block. After I finish that sweater I will work on the crochet Teddy Bear with Valentine sweater that Dylan (my Grand-nephew) drew for me. I will also post pictures of the progress on that sweater. I have about 1/3 of the front done.
Well closing for now. I will try to post more often.

Fiber Friday
Had a good time on Fiber Friday with some of the Eastside Stitchers. Worked on the sweater for my grandson. The sleeves are about 1/4-1/3 of the way finished.
I worked on the crochet sweater for my grand-nephew while I was in Haiti. I have a portion of the body of the teddy bear started. I think that it is cute so far, can't wait until I get the front finished so I can see how it looks.

Here are some photos from Haiti. I had a wonderful trip. I hope to make it to Fiber Friday knit group this week. I am still trying to recoup from the trip.

Back from Haiti
Well I'm back from Haiti. Was a great trip and would love to go again. I will post pictures in the next day or two. I am still recovering from the time change and early rising the day we left Ft. Lauderdale. We had to get up at 3:00AM, Florida time, to get to the airport in time for our flight to Atlanta.

Last post before Haiti
Was nice to join the Eastside Stithcers on Wed evening for my last meet up prior to leaving for Haiti. My grandson and I will be at the airport around 2:00AM Fri. because that is the time my husband has to be at work. Our flight is at 6:30AM or so. I am excited to be going on this trip again. We will be doing some of the same things as the last trip but, we will be doing some new things also. I am looking forward to the trips with Kyhomi (spelling), she goes to outlying villages and teaches the women how to earn money, take care of their families by keeping them healthy and about women's health. Kyhomi feels that if the women are educated they will be able to keep the whole family healthy.
I will post pictures when I return.
Have a great week knitting etc.

Looking forward
I am looking forward to joining the Eastside Stitchers on Wed evening. I will be leaving for Haiti early Fri morning so this will be the last time I will be able to join all of you until, after I return on Apr. 6th. I am excited to be going back to Haiti this year to see the progress that has been made. I will post picture on my blog when I return.

Thanks
Had a great at Eastside Stitchers at Crossroads on Wed evening. I even had time to take a good walk around the mall for some exercise to help with my weight loss. I was able to walk without pain in my right knee for the first time in about a year and not have pain when I went to bed last night.
I am so thankful for Eastside Stitchers because knitting and crocheting are things that I enjoy and it is so fun to spend time with others that enjoy it also. The group helps me to have some me time which is something that for so many years I did not take the time to include in my day.
Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful and welcoming group.
